I am Hannah McDermott, a qualified Specialist Teacher and Assessor of Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. I am passionate about identifying and supporting learners with specific learning differences and helping them reach their full potential through evidence-based assessment and targeted support.
With over 15 years of experience across primary and secondary education, I currently work as an Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion Lead), leading whole-school inclusion, SEND provision, and staff development. I have worked extensively with pupils, parents, and teachers to build inclusive learning environments where all learners can thrive.
Through my company, EdApt Education, I offer diagnostic assessments, consultancy, and training to schools and families in the UK and internationally. My approach is rooted in empathy, professional rigour, and a commitment to improving educational outcomes for every child.
